Through Their Eyes: How Trauma Shapes Youth Behavior

Understanding the basic foundations of trauma is critical when working with youth in any capacity. This session will explore stress responses and how they influence youth behavior. Participants will learn key principles of trauma-informed care, explore Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs), and identify ways to create emotionally safe spaces for youth. Staff will walk away with a deeper awareness of what trauma looks like, and what supportive and sensitive responses can look like when put into practice.
