SAYO-Y and SAYO-S Training (In-Person Training)
The SAYO-S (Staff Survey of Youth Outcomes) and SAYO-Y (Youth Survey of Youth Outcomes) are nationally recognized assessment tools developed by NIOST to measure key youth development outcomes such as engagement, relationships, and program experiences. The PHMC OST team is fully trained by NIOST to train providers in the effective implementation of these tools. Through this support, providers are equipped to administer the SAYO-S and SAYO-Y with fidelity and use the resulting data to participate in all required Continuous Program Improvement (CPI) activities. This ensures programs can track progress, strengthen practice, and enhance the overall quality of youth experiences.
This workshop provides a practical, hands-on introduction to the SAYO-Y (Youth Survey of Youth Outcomes) and SAYO-S (Staff Survey of Youth Outcomes) tools developed by NIOST. Participants will learn the purpose of each tool, how to administer them with fidelity, and how to interpret the resulting data to support meaningful continuous program improvement. Through guided practice and real-world examples, providers will leave confident in their ability to implement the SAYO tools within their OST programs and use the information gathered to strengthen youth experiences and program quality.
