This one-hour, high-energy virtual training is designed for frontline after-school staff who support children in dynamic, fast-paced environments. The session provides practical strategies, renewed perspective, and engaging activities to help staff manage challenging behaviors while fostering positive connections with youth.
Through short movie clips, real-life scenarios, and interactive dialogue, participants will explore three core strategies—proactive engagement, modeling positive behavior, and reinforcement through praise. The training emphasizes behavior as communication and highlights how staff presence, humor, and calmness can transform tense moments into opportunities for growth.
Participants will leave with a simple worksheet, concrete techniques to apply immediately, and a shared “wisdom wall” of peer-tested strategies. This training is equal parts practical, supportive, and fun—grounded in the realities of after-school work and designed to spark confidence and creativity.
